True Blood: Eric is the shit take a whiff!

Can we all just take a moment to bathe in the power, the glory, the shit that is Eric Northman! Having caught up on my weekly dose of True Blood I am happy to report the series we all love to sink our teeth into has returned to form… and then some!

Eric has come swaggering to his makers rescue, statuesque, brooding yet crafty and Aphrodite help me I don’t usually go for blondes but gracious me, clutch my pearls and fetch me a fan because I’m glowing (ladies glow, whores sweat)!

Now people, don’t think I have lost my objectivity, far from it. The series has finally exposed us to more vamp politics, some good contextual gore and some trance induced rough and I mean rough and tumble. The dynamics of the ‘makers’ and their influence has been an intense insight into the hierarchy of the ‘nest’, whilst also providing a thrilling dichotomy between love and hate.

Sookie still shits me, however I am fanging for Eric to have a real crack at her, and I predict he will. Whilst I am whinging WTF is with Bill’s hair, I have been accused of being a bit harsh on Bill, but holy crap the fanger is not doing himself any favours with that mop!

I would also like to draw your attention to the Aussie contingent in the show Jason Stackhouse (Ryan Kwanten), who I think uttered the best line of the season thus far: “Man, I’m pretty sure I’ve been to heaven, and it was inside your wife.”

I need to retire to my boudoir, True Blood has returned voracious and vampy, just how I like it!

Ms Harker

Dude is hot. Fuckin scary hot (as in “scary-hot” and just plain scary). Not to mention Skaarsgard can act. What he can convey with a look or word takes all kinds of emoting from the others.

Vis-a-vis Groovy Age of Horror’s recent “jaded horror” post, I think True Blood, while still wildly illogical and inconsistent where detail is concerned, more often than not strikes the right note between ballsy heroes/heroines and supernatural dread.

And what IS with Vampire Bill’s (you gotta love that Hoyt) Barnabas Collins hair-do?

I think they should stick with the ballsy hero and horror action. Although the scene with Jessica getting her hymen back was touching yet freaky! I knew it wasn’t just me cringing at Bill’s hair! Eric is the shit!

Aw I like Bill’s hair! Although I liked it a little better before. Was anyone else disappointed that the church didn’t end in a bloodbath though? I was really looking forward to some good death. Maybe next ep coz that was a doozy of a cliffhanger!

A little disappointed, but Jason was dumb arse heroe-riffic. We are debating in the Harker household, what exactly that Crusading Ball Licker has strapped to him… Thoughts?

[...] I have decided to devote this weekends post to my beloved Asian Horror, as due to my obsession with Eric Northman from True Blood, I have neglected my favourite horror [...]
