Daybreakers freaky TV Spot… time to milk some humans!

Greetings and Salutations.
Apologies for the gap between posts all, sadly Ms Harker’s brain has been on the fritz lately, I am seriously considering some Bride of Frankenstein electric current-age to solve the problem, but enough about me.
Last night I came across this new TV spot for the Aussie driven vampire flick ‘Daybreakers‘, thanks to that wonderful source of all things horror Shock Til You Drop. The film does not come out until January 2010, but damn it appears they have some fangtastic design and mythology behind their vamp’s. Despite the mope du jour Ethan Hawke being its lead; let’s hope home town hero Sam Neil saves the day and gets his evil on good and proper.
Check out the TV spot below and get ready for some human milking, its your civic duty!

Twilight’s Robert Pattinison a cunning linguist?

Greetings and Salutations.
Quick post today, I would like to say thanks to e crew at Vampire News for bringing these lets say interesting Twilight memorabilia to my attention. May I introduce to you the Twipanties!

Now, to take the high moral ground or not. Lets not!
I’m sure there is a joke to be made about the advantage of having Pattinson’s face in a position where you can urinate on it but lets not get too profane, or infer that any of us are into ‘water sports’. To think that potentially young girls are roaming around with Patto’s face on their privates infers many things about our current social culture; and we are in pretty bad shape. However I think that old Patto is trying to dispel the fact he is a dud lover, seing Ms Bell walks around wearing the same facial expression when in public looking like one morose woman.
I deduct that these were allowed out in the public arena so we of the fairer sex are to think that the fanged Brit is in fact a cunning linguist… wink wink. Any thoughts from out there in fangbang land? I will let you all judge this merchandise for the abomination or the sex toy it is, your call.

Hoffine will send chills down your spine… or blood if you are in the way!

Greetings and Salutations.
Reading through a couple of horror mags the other week, I came across the artist Joshua Hoffine. So I contacted this fine gentleman and asked if I could feature his work on this here blog, of which he kindly agreed.
Hoffine expresses his horror vision through the medium of photography. His work is chilling, challenging and at times elegant. His placing of bodies and the images he creates portray a world of horror that’s reality based. However also plays on the irrational fears that we all hold in our psyche and expands this in his work to portray these fears in an amplified conceptualisation.
Hoffine describes his perspective on the basis of his work as follows:
“I love old Disney cartoons. I like the hyper-realism of animation, and the overblown production values of Hollywood movies. I want my images to be pretty so you’ll look at them longer. I am interested in the science of fairy tales. I want to reinvent archetypes. I embrace the Jungian power of the cliche. I think of my photgra[hy as pieces of candy.
I believe that the horror story is ultimately concerned with the imminence and randomness of death, and the implication that there is no certainty to existence. The experience of horror resides in this confrontation with uncertainty. Horror tells us that our belief in security is delusional., and that the monsters are all around us.”
Hoffine’s work is a crisp and visceral trip through the potential horror in our lives, however also manages to have a dark sense of whimsy. Below are some examples of his work, please visit his site to see more, you will be deliciously disturbed.
