Brad as Vlad? Lets get the gossip straight shall we…

Greetings and Salutations.
Whilst creeping about the net I came across the shock statement that Brad Pitt is to star in a remake of the Dracula tale entitled ‘Vlad the Impaler’. As my mind went into a tale spin, cringing at the potential butchering of the Prince of Darkness I did some further research.
According to Shock Til You Drop Pitt is in talks to PRODUCE the project with film company Summit (responsible for Twilight eek!), the script has been penned by actor Charlie Hunman. Some of you may know Hunman, who plays the character Jax Teller on the fabulous TV show ‘Sons of Anarchy‘. It appears Hunman is more than a nicely crafted arse on a Harley; now if he was to get his vamp on I would be more excited about this film!
The film is to focus on the earlier life of Vlad when he was a young prince, a piece which Summit hopes will be a “visually edgy and radical period movie that also will break a new talent.” I’m guessing unless you have a lot of heads on spikes your not going to win any fangbangers with this one.

December 8th, 2009 at 12:17 pmI LOVE vampire movies. I do not love the vampire romance crap though. My vampires need to be bloodthirsty and ruthless! Based on looks alone (compared to portraits of Vlad) I think Adrien Brody would fit perfectly. But honestly, I want to see Hugh Jackman as a villain!
