30 Days of Night: Red Snow… Little Girls are SCARY!

In February Day of The Woman featured scary little girls in horror flicks, citing the twins from The Shining and Reagen from The Exorcist to name a couple. I have had a long think about my nomination for a scary little girl, Sadako from Ringu was my immediate pick, I have a thing for Japanese ghosties with psycho-motor retardation climbing out of wells. However I have just finished reading the graphic novel “30 Days of Night: Red Snow” by Ben Templesmith and have a new nominee for scariest little girl. The story is based in WW2 in the harsh Russian winter, pitting the Russians against the Germans and a Brit thrown in for good measure. Running low on resources and tolerance enter our kiss of vampires led by Lilly who is hungry and seeking ‘… friends to play with. So pretty, so pretty.’ Although she meets a not so frosty end, she manages to ba-chewy-chomp her way through a few villages and and half a troop! So with a set of chompers to do Nosferatu proud (and put those Twilight pussies to shame) and pigtails as cute as a button! I nominate for scary little girl of the week: ‘Lilly’
