‘I will have your fangs for earrings!’… True Blood Finale
Posted by Ms Harker | Filed under Horror TV
Greetings and salutations. Living on this water surrounded continent, it can take a little time for information to reach our shores, so this, my True Blood finale rant is a little late post airing.
So, now that I am suitably settled and in complete mourning garb, as there is sweet fuck all fangvision coming our way. I am here to lead you through the finale and the issues it has raised.
Gladly the episode finally rid us of the dirty rotten Maenad Marry-Ann who we all know was starting to drive me batty! However her death was all a little easy, not on Sam mind you, who was looking mighty fine this episode in a scruffy nice arse in jeans kind of way. The use of the bull to trap her was a nice touch, as the kind of bull they used has sacred meaning in many eastern cultures.
Miss Stackhouse finally pulled her finger out and grew a pair, stepping up to the role of local heroine in a restrained yet kick arse fashion. Again Jason and Andy added a comical element to the episode, as did Lafayette suitably charged as one of Marry-Ann’s brides maids and calling the entire down a bunch of ‘bitches’ at one point… hilarious!
It must be said however that I am a little pissy that Eric and The Queen barely featured in the episode, I was delighted with how the Queen put the Viking Vamp in his place, licking his fang and threatening to wear them as earrings meow! She is my kind of monarch! It is perplexing though, the agenda behind her selling of ‘V’ to humans and her obvious intolerance of vampire Bill (which I’m all for). Is she simply earning some cash to maintain her day room, or is she in fact keeping the human population in an intoxicated state in order to execute a grander plan? I’m going with the latter.
It makes me quiver with anticipation the thought of next season when Eric gets into assassin mode to take out foppish Bill, I’m eager to see the resulting blood bath that will ensue! There is also the unresolved issue of whether Eric will be able to penetrate Sookie’s resolve and give her a a real ride on the Fangtrain! Toot, toot!
The final scene although schmaltzy, did set up the next season well, leaving us to wonder if Sookie was in fact genuine in her response to the big question? Who grabbed mop top Bill, was it Eric or do we have another vampire hunter in town? What is the Queen’s caper, and what is the go with Sam going to find his furry parents? Many things to ponder, too long to wait!!
I am very keen to hear what you fangbangers thought, was it a vampirific finale or so dissapointing your VMD has gone into remission? So hit me up with your thoughts.

All you fangbangers who were quivering with delight at the prospect that the climax to True Blood would be this weekend, unfortunately will have to hold on a little bit longer… the episode in fact will not air until the 13th of September.
So do what you have to do, think about your elderly nieghbours getting their groove on, or your Great Aunt Fanny naked! But to wet your appetite just a little; I have the teaser trailer from HBO for the final episode of Season 2 entitled ‘Beyond Here Lies Nothing’ (apologies its a little grainy). Oh and a little Eric eye candy for the ladies! I’m going to take a cold shower.
